The short version
Swingby helps families coordinate trips to the park with people they choose to connect with. We collect the least we can, we never sell your data, and only families you've mutually accepted can see who you are. Parks show anonymous busyness — never a name or a child.
What we collect
- Your name, and optionally your interests, a photo, and your children's first names and ages.
- Check-ins (which park, for how long) and meet-ups you create.
- Your connections and any messages you send on a check-in or meet-up.
- Basic, anonymous usage counts (which screens are viewed) to understand what's used.
Children's information
Any information about a child is entered by and stored under a parent or caregiver's own account. Children do not have accounts. A child's details are visible only to families you have connected with, and you can hide them from everyone at any time (Profile → Privacy → Hide my kids' details). Parks never display a child, an age, or a count that could identify one.
Who can see what
- Connections only. Your profile, check-ins, and meet-ups are visible only to families you've mutually accepted (or a private group you choose).
- Anonymous to everyone else. A park may show a busyness level and, for verified parents, a fuzzy “kids around your kids' ages” hint — held back until enough families are present that it can't point to anyone.
- Never public. You are not searchable or visible to people you haven't connected with unless you turn on discovery, which still hides your location and check-ins.
Your rights
You can download everything tied to your account, or delete your account and all its data, at any time from Profile → Your data. Deletion is immediate and permanent.
Sharing & storage
We use service providers to run the app (hosting, database, email, maps). They process data only to provide the service. We don't sell personal data or use it for advertising.
